Cookie Policy

Version: 28 May 2026

Last Updated: 28 May 2026

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how L1VE Inc. (“L1VE”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our webshop at https://prod.l1ve.com (the “Webshop”).

Scope of this Policy. The L1VE Service consists of two surfaces: the Webshop (a website where users register accounts and purchase tickets) and the L1VE VR application (a native application for Meta Quest and Apple Vision Pro where purchased content is viewed). Cookies in the technical sense are set only on the Webshop. The VR application uses native data storage mechanisms (e.g., on-device storage of authentication tokens and playback state); these are not “cookies” in the ePrivacy / § 25 TDDDG sense but are nonetheless described in our Privacy Policy where they involve processing of personal data.

This Cookie Policy supplements our Privacy Policy at https://www.l1ve.com/privacy-policy, which you should read for the full picture of how we process personal data.

The controller responsible for the cookies described in this Policy is L1VE Inc., 26 Broadway FL 3, New York, NY 10004, United States of America. Our EU representative under Article 27 GDPR is L1VE Germany GmbH, Sophienstr. 32, 10178 Berlin, Germany. Full contact details are in Section 8 below.

2. What Are Cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device (computer, tablet, mobile phone) when you visit it. Cookies allow the website to recognise your device, remember your preferences, and understand how the website is used.

“Cookies and similar tracking technologies” in this Policy also covers technologies that perform comparable functions to cookies, including local storage, session storage, pixels, beacons, SDKs, fingerprinting techniques, and similar mechanisms. Where this Policy refers to “cookies”, it should be read to include these comparable technologies.

We distinguish between:

  • First-party cookies — set by L1VE directly.
  • Third-party cookies — set by a partner or processor (e.g. our analytics provider) when you interact with our Webshop.
  • Session cookies — temporary, deleted when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies — remain on your device for a defined period or until you delete them.

3. Legal Basis and Consent

For users in the European Union, European Economic Area, and the United Kingdom, we set cookies on the following bases:

  • Strictly necessary cookies are set on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing the Service you requested) and § 25(2) TDDDG (Germany). These do not require your consent.
  • All other cookies — including analytics, functional preference, and any future marketing cookies — are set only on the basis of your prior, freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG.

We obtain and manage your consent through our consent management platform, Usercentrics, which is displayed as a consent banner the first time you visit our Webshop. You can:

  • Accept all non-essential cookies;
  • Reject all non-essential cookies; or
  • Make a granular selection by category.

You can withdraw or change your consent at any time, with effect for the future, through the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of our Webshop, which reopens the Usercentrics privacy settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

For users in California, we share personal information (such as device identifiers, IP addresses, and event data) with advertising partners (Meta, Google, TikTok) for cross-context behavioural advertising. You may opt out at any time via the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the Webshop footer, by adjusting your preferences in the Usercentrics consent banner, or by sending a request to info@l1ve.com. We honour Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a valid opt-out request.

4. Cookies We Use

The table below lists the cookies and similar technologies we currently use. Storage durations are maxima; many cookies expire earlier or are deleted at the end of a session. The exact list visible to you in the Usercentrics consent banner may be slightly different at any given time as we adjust our stack; the consent banner is the authoritative live list.

These cookies are required for the Webshop and Service to function. They cannot be disabled in the consent banner.

4.5 Platform Integrations (Meta Quest, Apple Vision Pro)

When you access the L1VE Service through Meta Quest or Apple Vision Pro, certain platform-level identifiers and analytics are processed by Meta or Apple under their own privacy terms, not as cookies set by us. We do not control these mechanisms and they fall under the privacy policies of Meta and Apple respectively. See our Privacy Policy, Section 8.1.1, for further detail on the data flows involved.

5. International Data Transfers

Some of the providers listed above are based in the United States (Amplitude, Google, Meta, HubSpot, Stripe), the United Kingdom (TikTok), and may onward-transfer data to other jurisdictions (TikTok infrastructure includes Singapore). These transfers occur outside the EU/EEA/UK and we rely on the following safeguards:

  • The EU–US Data Privacy Framework (and its UK Extension / Swiss–US Framework) where the recipient is certified;
  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) adopted by the European Commission (Decision 2021/914) where DPF is not applicable;
  • Supplementary technical and organisational measures (encryption in transit, access controls) where required by transfer impact assessment.

Further detail is in our Privacy Policy, Section 12.

6. How to Manage Cookies

6.1 Through Our Consent Banner

The simplest way to manage cookies on the L1VE Webshop is through our Usercentrics consent banner:

  • On your first visit, the banner appears automatically.
  • After that, you can reopen the banner at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page.
  • You can withdraw consent for individual categories or for all non-essential cookies at any time.

6.2 Through Your Browser

Most browsers allow you to control cookies via the browser settings. You can usually:

  • View the cookies stored on your device;
  • Block all cookies, or block third-party cookies only;
  • Delete existing cookies;
  • Configure the browser to alert you when a cookie is being set.

Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies through the browser may cause parts of the Webshop or Service to stop working. For information on managing cookies in specific browsers:

  • Edge: https://support.microsoft.com/microsoft-edge

6.3 Global Privacy Control (GPC)

Where applicable (in particular for California residents), we recognise the Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information. You can find information about GPC at https://globalprivacycontrol.org.

7. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our cookie practices, the providers we use, or legal requirements. For material changes — in particular, the addition of new categories of cookies (e.g. marketing) — we will update the consent banner and obtain renewed consent before setting any new non-essential cookies. For non-material updates, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Policy.

The current version is dated 28 May 2026.
